All expatriates are required to obtain a Certificate of Good Conduct before applying for work visa in UAE. The certificate is issued by either home country or the country of residence for the last 5 years.. The certificate must be attested by the UAE Customer Happiness Centres at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

Applying online is through Dubai Police website or applying in person. If the applicant will apply in person, he/she must go to any Police Station or the General Department of Criminal Investigation (CID) offices between 7.30am to 2.30pm from Sunday to Thursday.

If outside the UAE or reside in different country, the applicant must go to police station and get a fingerprint scanned and send to the UAE Embassy of the said country. The certificate is valid for 3 months.
