As the new rule in UAE that all expatriates must obtain a Certificate of good conduct, the required documents needed is the valid Emirates ID and active email address. If the Emirates ID is not valid because the applicant is in between jobs, the police will explain over the phone that the applicant must need to show the Emirates ID just to prove that you had one.
